Booming construction industry could mean increased site injuries

In an uncertain economy, the news of more jobs being created can be great news. For Coloradans, as more people are building homes, more construction jobs become available. In fact, in the past year, nearly 9,000 construction-related jobs were created throughout the state.

But with more construction workers onsite, there is a greater risk of a work-related accident, such as a crush injury. Construction sites have a lot of heavy machinery, not to mention moving pieces of equipment. Debris can fall at any time, trucks and other vehicles can bump or even crush workers, and live wires can cause serious burns.

As the number of construction workers increases, the number of injuries will also likely increase. To learn more about what types of injuries a construction worker might sustain and to learn more about what rights you as a construction worker have, read more here.
